Today marks the opening of the fourth edition of the largest dentistry congress in the Balkans, the βPrishtina Dental Weekendβ, organized by the Faculty of Dentistry at AAB College. This prestigious event has brought together some of the most renowned dental experts from Kosovo, the region, and worldwide, featuring dozens of specialized lectures, interactive dental workshops, and thousands of registered participants eager to exchange knowledge and experience in the field of modern dentistry.
Student Aron Kelmendi is employed as a doctor of dentistry after graduating from the Faculty of Dentistry
With outstanding academic performance and dedicated commitment throughout six consecutive years of study, Aron Kelmendi quickly achieved success in the dental job market. After graduating from the Faculty of Dentistry at AAB College, he began his career as a doctor of dentistry at his family-owned dental clinic, applying his skills and knowledge to provide high-quality oral health care to patients.

The Career Center at AAB College organized an educational visit for Faculty of Dentistry students to the Ministry of Health of Kosovo. Dentists from Australia on a one-week visit to the Faculty of Dentistry β Meet with the rector of AAB College
For one week, 12 professional dentists from Australia stayed at the Faculty of Dentistry at AAB College, as part of the IAADent Academy program. Invited by Dean Dr. Bleron Azizi, they engaged in collaborative meetings with professors, delivered interactive lectures for dentistry students, conducted specialized dental training sessions, and provided patient consultations. This international dental exchange aimed to strengthen academic cooperation and share global best practices in dentistry.
Student Erjona Gashi earns the title of Doctor of Dentistry after graduating from the Faculty of Dentistry
With a thesis highly praised by the evaluation committee consisting of professors Avdyl Shoshi, Astrit Kuqi, and mentor Donika Ilijazi Shahiqi, student Erjona Gashi has officially earned the title of Doctor of Dentistry, graduating with an outstanding GPA of 10.00. Erjona is among the many successful graduates of the Faculty of Dentistry at AAB College, completing six years of dedicated study. Her thesis, titled βOral Mucosal Lesions in Childrenβ, presented a comprehensive research study and literature review on pediatric oral health, contributing valuable insights to the field of dentistry.
Professor Mimoza Selmani represents AAB College at the European Orthodontia Congress in Athens
At this yearβs European Congress of Orthodontics in Athens, Greece, Professor Mimoza Selmani from the Faculty of Dentistry at AAB College proudly represented the institution on an international stage. She participated in the prestigious event organized by the European Association of Orthodontics, presenting her research project titled βTherapeutic Management of Anomalies and Malocclusions in Orthodontic Patients in the Region of Kosovoβ. From May 17β19, 2024, the third edition of the International Dentistry Congress βPrishtina Dental Weekendβ will take place, organized by the Faculty of Dentistry at AAB College. The event is officially accredited by the Kosovo Dental Chamber (OSK), awarding 15 points for attendance and 20 points for active participation. This congress will bring together dental professionals from Kosovo, the Balkans, and worldwide, offering lectures, workshops, and networking opportunities in the field of modern dentistry.
Professor of AAB College is invited for a visit by the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Denver β Colorado
The professor of the Faculty of Dentistry, Mimoza Selmani, has conducted a several-day visit on the invitation of the University of Denver in Colorado, USA, where she held numerous meetings with the academic staff and leaders of the institution. She visited the Faculty of Dentistry at this university where she was received by dean Denise Kassebaum, Dr. Daniel Wilson, head of the Restorative Dentistry department and Dr. Craig Shellhart chair of the Dentofacial Orthodontics and Orthopedics department.
Forensic dentistry specialist lectures to students of the Faculty of Dentistry
Valon Nushi, a specialist in forensic dentistry, delivered an engaging lecture to Faculty of Dentistry students at AAB College at the invitation of Professor Naim Uka, as part of the βForensic Medicineβ course. During the session, Nushi shared valuable insights and data on the content, applications, and significance of forensic dentistry in dental analysis and legal investigations. The lecture provided students with practical knowledge on how forensic dental science contributes to identification processes and the resolution of criminal and civil cases.
